RE: CEN Genesis
You would probably do better to ask this question in the CEN Support forum here on RCU. I have a Nemesis 7.7 and I do like it very much, but it is built with race inspirations in mind although it is like the Genesis very much with few minor upgrades and mods done to it. Just click here to get there.[link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/forumid_310/tt.htm]CEN Racing Support[/link] This is another link to take you to another thread with more info on the Genesis/Nemesis models.[link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_3856857/tm.htm]Official Genesis/Nemesis Thread[/link]

RE: CEN Genesis
Mine's great as well. Had one axle break, but I got some 17mm axle carriers and wheels and I think this should solve the stress issue until better axles are made. But I did run the truck hard on several occasions before making the switch and the axle break may have been a random occurance.
The engine is powerful, and its so cool to see such a big truck catch up and roll over the truggies and buggies in the corners!

RE: CEN Genesis
New axles have been made by Cen. Check out:

I guess I'll have to keep running the original set up and break them to get them replaced by Cen.....

RE: CEN Genesis
I have one and it is great the thing is huge i have the grave digger body on it it my favort of all time, i also have 16 other r/c cars and have ben building them for about 23 years this is on of the best, it does need some tlc but it runs great easy start and gets a lot of air. it is better that the nemesis because it has 3 speeds and extra parts that can be reused. if you wont to make it a nemesis remove reverse and third and the extra shocks and the servo add tires and new hubs if needed i have never broken the old ones and i beat the crap out of it the only thing i have broken is the rear upper control arms and Cen sent me the new upgraded ones for free but for the money the specal adition genesis is $100 bucks cheaper about $440.0 in my neck of the woods.

I've had my Genesis since March, and I love it. I was able to find a good construction site to run it at today. So far, I've broken the Rt. frt. upper A-arm--my fault (rolled end over end down a 30 ft. hill), rt. frt. wheel hub--my fault (weak battery, wasn't able to compensate for the torque steer, and hit a curb), and now I'm currently having problems with my recoil not going back in all the way (fixed it once, and now its doing it again).

RE: CEN Genesis
Sure looks nice with all that dirt on it
I am in the process of putting the shaft start on mine, doesn't seem like a lot of guy around here have it, I never had a problem with my pull start, just my LST spoiled me. You might wanna consider that route.

I looked into getting the Tiger drive for it today-- still haven't decided. Yesterday, I looked a little deeper into my recoil problem, and found the tab that holds the spring to the housing broke off, so the spring was able to turn inside. rebent the spring into the housing, and super glued the broken piece back into place. I probably pulled on it about 75 times yesterday while I was out bashing. So far its held up, but I don't really see the super glue being a permanent fix. Also, has anyone had any problems getting their Genesis to shift into 3rd gear? I still haven't been able to get it to shift, and it seems like there
is something wrong inside the transmission (the clutchbell for 3rd won't turn free without the clutch), so maybe its shifting right into 3rd gear and skipping 2nd.

RE: CEN Genesis
I've just bought A genesis 46 this week and it is coming in the mail. This is my first nitro truck. My co workers have nitro cars and trucks and they talked me into getting one.So I did my research and came up with the genesis 46.I wanted a big truck with the power to keep up with there small trucks and cars. They run 2.5 and 3.3 engines. Will this truck keep up with them.Thank you very much.

RE: CEN Genesis
That sucks.....I hate getting pulled over. Did you explain you had to get fuel for the genny?
How far were you pulling the rope out? It shouldn't be more than 8-12 inches..... Or is it just stuck out? Sometimes when they are new they bind up usually tapping on the housing or turning the flywheel over by hand will get it to go back in.
