Lot's of decent options in cheaper MTs. Tamiya TNX, Team Associated MGT, Kyosho MadForce is a fun looking truck, the little CEN Magnum and MTs, the HPI MT2s are 4wd stadium trucks but close enough, if you look hard you can still find leftover stock of the Savage 25 LE for around $400...

Get the MGT if you can't cough up $600 for the LST2. DO NOT get the Aftershock, it is pretty much a LST1 with a few upgrades, but NOT the important ones. I am a die hard Losi fan and raced both the LST1 and LST2. Trust me, you DO NOT want the LST1. It is such a PITA. So get the MGT, it has better parts support than the TNX, but I would just save up another month and get the LST2, you won't regret it.

I looked into the MGT and people seem to think they are slow
Is this true?

tower hobbies offer the payment plan on the MGT, and the Warhead. so even at a little more then $400....... $143 a month, no interest, is pretty easy to budget.

Tamiya TNX is awesome for 309.00 from ultimate hobbies. Plenty fast, a great hillclimber, and tough. The Cen magnum can be had for under 300.00 if you look on ebay, around 269.00 shipped, if its anything like the MT2 it is also awesome truck, but not quite as good as the TNX, The savage is good but I don't like the handling, still a fun truck though. I do own all 3 of these trucks, and run them in all the same areas, the same teraign. I hillclimb them, compare them for speed, and handling. I like the tnx the best. Durability, all are extremely good. if it breaks, it is probabally driver error. I do have an MGT but have never run it yet, still new in the box. I ear they are good though. If its like my rc10gt, then it is a good truck. Oh yeah MGT from ultimate hobbies in the 360 range.

Good luck
