Default I KNOW, you tired of these posts...but just this once? :D

im getting a nitro soon, and would like your input. i have EXACTLY $499 to spend (), and nothing over than that. has to be brand new too. so no lst2 for me . my choices are

1. CEN Nemesis 7.7 w/MX3

2. Hot Bodies Lighting GT

3. Revo 3.3

4. Savage X

5. CEN Matrix (Buggy)

6. Other RTR Trucks, with very good power, please state them in your post.

ill prolly be adding a little bit more options later on, but its 11:13 and need sleep, so i need to hurry this post up lol. im looking for durability, power, speed (cannot be ashamed in front of my 50mph mini-t [8D]). i wont be racing, only bashing. help would be appreciated, sorry if these kind of posts bother you!

after my recent experiences with CEN. the build quality of my CT5 streed car, and the excellent customer support and tech department... they got my vote ALL DAY LONG!!!!!! and twice on sunday....... your lhs is less likely to carry parts. but they are redily available at many online shops...

The Nemesis is the best all around. Revo and savage tied for second.

You know, my friend's X keeps breaking... and so does his Savage .25... his LST2 is a brute... and his 3.3 is fast (with an OS .30)... so, out of your list... I would recommend the Revo 3.3... I've loved my Revo for the year and a half I've owned it... tough little basher... Unfortunately, I have to go by my friend's experience on the others because I only own a Revo... however... he owns 12-13 trucks...

totally agree with the hamburglar with the aftershock. if you have your heart set on the lst, its the same truck but with plastic shocks, foc, no hi-low speed, and cast diff houses. about the plastic shocks, most trucks have plastic shocks so dont worry about that, foc is great because even for bashing ive never used my reverse so i removed it and its alot better, im not sure about the hi-low speed since i dont own a lst/2. and the cast diff houses look tacky but will DEFF be just as good as aluminum houses.

my vote is aftershock, savage, tmaxx, nemisis. in that order.

thanks for the feedback, im surprised i didnt get flamed for a way too common thread like this. i find the nemesis a great truck, it looks like it has lots of power, and includes an MX3, which is a sweet thing. the revo 3.3 is awesome, parts are easy to get, but i was never too keen of traxxas (imo revo is the only good think traxxas sells). the savage is built like a tank, but i dont like the stock electronics it includes. if i had the money i wouldve gotten the SSX4.6, but thats another story. the aftershock, i was thinking about that, and then getting the LST2 upgrade kit later on. ill have to see about the Nemesis and the Aftershock. thanks guys fro your feedback. keep em coming!

HEy, it is confusing getting into rc, especially nitro, and it can be confusing on wich one suits you best. I agree, the after shock looks awesome, it is a lst with a mismarked price tag. I would like to get the aftershock. But i own a MGT, it is realyy great. THe key thing is the chassis design, Very convienent for beginners, easy to work on. And it has a good size motor. Good luck.

I wanted to and will add the TNX from Tamiya, to that group, the current model not the new model with .32 coming out. Simply put the TNX with .18 OS rtr version from ultimate hobbies is great deal for 309.00 rtr. I like the layout, durability, the speed and handling on this truck overall a great basher, and racer. I can't wait though to see the .32 version of this though suposedly lighter, and tougher it should be wildly fast

Good luck in whatever you choose

thanks for the remarks.
i might as well add the losi aftershock i think its a pretty decent truck, and has a really good and reasonable price. with that price, i may be able to buy some extra hop-ups to go along with it. geez, so many options! all i know is that i cant go wrong with any of my options.

I'll vote for Savage anyday. I'm still running a Savage 21 (.26 Wasp now but the .21 will still pull wheelies) & I have yet to break anything other than a center driveshaft (twisted the end off) & a planetary gear in my front diff. That only happened because I had dual brakes set up too tight & was doing front flips without a ramp. Oh yeah, I cracked a fuel tank, epoxied it, & bought a spare. The original is still leak proof. If you want to get real picky I've replaced a few spur gears. I set the mesh wrong & toasted them, not the truck's fault.

I have a Revo & would trade it for a decent Savage anyday. I've tried everything with the engine & it still isn't worth running. Before the engine gave out the rear arms snapped. I put RPM arms all the way around but they're useless without an engine. The radio glitches & has something against reverse.

Maybe I had good luck with the Savage & bad luck with the Revo. My best recomndation is to save up & get what you want. [8D]

ok now im really stumped. two good cars, 2 REALLY good radios.....please help me pick. this is what im REALLY going to be getting, but i have to pick and it comes down to this.......

1. Sportwerks Turmoil RTR w/ Spektrum DX2 FM Radio

2. Team Losi LST2 w/ JR XR3i FM Radio

ive narrowed it down to these two, im gonna be bashing and race occasionaly in a bmx track against some friends and in a real outdoor track for nitros.

If you are limiting to those 2 and you will be bashing, I would say LST 2 hands down.
