Default How do you know if your engine is dead?

Well today I got my Revo 2.5R out and got it tuned, but every time the engine would get up to 200 degrees hit second, come to a stop, and die. I have a clean trail of smoke coming out the back, and the low/high speed needle is set right. So has it finally lost its combustion? Please help

I think you mean compression... If you can turn the flywheel over with one finger, your chances are the compression is gone. best way to tell is to take it apart. Look for scratches in the sleeve. If you remove the piston and sleeve, try putting the piston into the sleeve and see if you have any pinch at the top. If it slides right through it is time for a rebuild or new engine.

This should tell you everything you need to take apart and reassemble an engine.
