Default Good electric monster trucks

I just got out of helicopters and was wondering what a good beginner, electric, cheap monster truck would be.

Well, I don't know about cheap, but the Hot Bodies E-zilla is a tough truck. Dumb body IMO, but that's just plastic and you can get a new cooler one of your choice.. Important is the quality and toughness of the truck itself - and it is good quality and tough..

I spent several weeks researching on the internet what was better before I bought one - E-MAXX or E-zilla... The answer was clear - E-zilla. E-MAXX's are apparently only good - i.e. tough enough for consistent bashing - after considerable after-market investments.. The E-zilla is tough out of the box...

Good point. The e-ziila is basically a electric savage. But it is only a single speed right? If you want to rock crawl, look at a tlt-1. Cheap and very capable. I think they would be extremely fun to have.

Put a decent set of batteries(3000 or more..) in an E-zilla, and I think you'll have some fun... I did.(sold it though... Nitro I just find to be more fun..)

The emaxx is one of the best monster trucks around, and very upgradable with huge aftermarket supports. Mine has survived many cartwheels and somersaults, until it crashed landed from a 6ft high jump and broke the rear bulkheads. I have since upgraded to aluminium bulkheads, never tried superman stuffs with it anymore, and so far so good. It's my most beloved truck, till now I am unable to convince myself to get a second truck!

It depends how much you want to spend. Back when I was researching between the E-MAXX and E-zilla, all I ever heard about the E-MAXX was that.... um, well, it's not very strong stock(what I really heard was somewhat more negative...) I'm sure there are some fantastic $800 E-MAXX's out there, but IMO all you need for an E-zilla are some decent batteries and a new body, and you've got a good quality truck.

IF electric is your thing, of course..

The twin force or spirit is from Kyosho and is comparable to the e-trucks. J-cube wanted cheap electric monster truck and that the stampede for 2wd and rtr OR the tamiya trucks are cheap too , but they may or may not have an rtr.

The funny thing is in that article they liked the twin force best, then later in an article in their yearly MT magazine with the e-maxx, twin force, and txt-1, they liked the e-maxx better.

How about you convert a REVO to electric with the gorilla max chassis and use a HV-maxx brushless system. It works well....I know (see sig)

Seriously though, from what I have read and if I was gonna get another electric MT I would get the e-zilla. it looks good and people say that it's tougher than the emaxx. Plus it comes with batts.
