If you have the stock shocks, change the fluid to 80wt. I know that seems too thick, but with the way these shocks are made, it is about like having 40wt in a standard style shock.
With a broken clutch spring your truck will stall at stops.

ya its bad, u wont be able to run it in the first place, i replaced my stock shocks with aluminium ones, the stock shocks are real crappy,
u can purchase the whole clutch setup from your hobby shop, if they dont have the tamiya clutch u might be able to find some other brand that fits,

Hi there, your best bet is to change all the 8 shocks. The best you can get is pro-line powerstroke. They are pricy but worth it. The others options you got are the hot bodies or the traxxas big bore. I do got myself a set of traxxas big bores with trinity X-hard springs. I've put 4 of the x-gard springs and 4 stock big bores. I am very impressed at what it can do now. it helps alot.
By the way it you just change the oil in your old stock shock, i don't think it will stop them to pop out of theirs caps like mine did.
