I'm sure you could pull yourself on a skateboard with a CEN Genesis or Nemesis (5hp trucks), might get a little high off the potent nitro fumes though lol[sm=bananahead.gif]

RE: 5HP!!!???!??!?!?
its really hard to compair for instance take a 300hp sports car like supra or wrx and hook it up to a 20,000 lb. trailor next to a desiel like a one ton truck hooked to another identical trailor. now let them pull the load. what do you think the outcome will be?
being able to do the work under a load is mostly the engines availible torque.

I'm pretty sure the CEN's have enough torque to pull someone on a skateboard, depends on the weight of the person but I still think it could happen. Obviously not going to be good on the motor/clutch/drivetrain and probably destroy some of it i the process but would be funny to watch

not to mention the gears and the clutch and just about everything else, but imagine a truckzilla with a wagon attached it'd be like tractor pull worthy.

It was here [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_4609994/anchors_4658482/mpage_2/anchor/tm.htm#4658482]post #40[/link], I just don't know... not saying it couldn't happen, I would just like to see it. Seems like the tires would just spin being... oh, let's see... about 2400lbs less! lol. A vid would REALLY be cool.

No kidding.... there should be some sort of regulation that all companies have to follow. As far as I know, none of the motors actually have the power that their makers claim when tested by independents - wouldn't that be considered false advertisement?? not one is even close. From what I've seen, most are half or less even when tested running 30% [sm=confused.gif]

It's not going to produce 5 HP. And the HB engine doesn't either. I bet both of them make no more than 2.4 HP. They are big engines, but they won't make 5HP. That's just advertising.

They can most likely document 5 hp. Just because the documentation is based on BS math does not mean it puts out 5 hp. There are so many ways to calculate HP, just choose the one that meets your needs. Can't remember if it even put out 2 hp on the X-Dyno.

CEN X-76 .46 1.58 @ 21,250 rpm 74.88 oz-in @ 16,500 rpm 36,000 rpm w/ kit $299 (tests are from over a year ago but it's still the same motor)
I got this info [link=http://www.rc411.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2202]here[/link] - for those of you that haven't already seen it, thought you might find this link interesting....... Still doesn't mean the Nemmy isn't bad ***** though, 'cause it is

A .32 = 3.5 + horsepower according to almos every r/c engine manuffacture.... so a .46 can produce 5hp... isnt too much off.... unless of course, the entire r/c industry is lying
2 engine dyno can have up to .5 hp difference on a .12 engine... so on a .46 engine, margin is up to 2hp...

RE: 5HP!!!???!??!?!?
LoL...I know one thing, size does not = horsepower. period.
It all depends on the technology put into the engine, there are 4-bangers out there that put out more HP than some V8's and if size had ANYTHING to do with it, that would not be possible...
anyway, I said that didn't mean the Nemmy wasn't still bad *****, it is! and I don't doubt for a minute that it's the most powerful 1/8th there is. (besides the EK-4)
and.... I will believe an independent test before I'll believe a manufacturers claim. The independents have no reason to exaggerate, they're not selling the product.

RE: 5HP!!!???!??!?!?
The hot bodies lighting gtx2 could probably pull you as each 26 engine creates around 2.6hp so therefore it giving around 5.2hp together.
I expect the car would probable wheelie and just flip over on its back because of its toque. LOL

Hot Bodies said its .46 produce 4.8hp.... just because its a CEN doesnt mean it cant.. stop being so biased..

I think you might be the one who is letting a bias stand in the way of reason. The .46 engine is simply a result of it being easier to produce low rpm torque with a larger displacement. The "real" HP figures for that engine are dismal when you compare them to the much smaller .28s on the market. I might feel differently if my truck weighed 17lbs, but I would MUUUUUCH rather have the super sweet mid-highend power production of the smaller mills than the instant torque(and not much else) of the giants.
The HB .46 is a complete joke for anything other than showing off in small spaces. It fries the tires out of the hole and then immediately falls on it's face.
Both of the HB .26s together produce what? maybe 2.4 horsepower? I'll take the lower cost, less weight, and simpler build of one racing .28 over both of them. Dual engine rigs are, and always have been, more about novelty than performance.
As for the EK-4... well, it's the same deal as the HB Truckzilla engine but at least they had the balls to stuff the monster .70 in there, and that gets extra points in my book.
