nitro rc+water/snow=????
is there any risks to running rc's through the rain, puddles, or snow? obviously people do it but are there things that should be covered or anything?

RE: nitro rc+water/snow=????
Hi,
At least you need to cover the receiver with a balloon and use waterproof servos. Most high power servos for 1/10 and 1/8 nitro are waterproof. Running on snow and light rain should be fine. I am not sure if anything has to be done to the rx battery pack as I only race nitro buggies, which the receiver and battery pack are kept inside a radio box.
But one thing is that snow and rain are water, it will eventually rust up the metal/steel parts and ball bearings.
Regards
Joaquim

thanks guys, end yes i know that it will rust....ive ran electrics through the rain and you had to waterproof EVERYTHING talk about a hassle......and of course you have to take a cloth and dry it nice after running it so it doesnt rust, but running through rain in snow just about defines fun.
