Default TNX 5.2

I'm probably gonna buy this truck soon. Do any of you have one and how do you like it? My revo breaks alot so I'm gonna try something different. The 5.2 is gonna be a monster so I can't wait!

Hi there, i own a TNX and all my buddys are driving revos. I know what you mean by breaking stuff.

At first sight they were laughing at me saying that tamiya was for kids and stuff like that. They soon realize that they were wrong. Their trucks were often sideline by mechanical issues and mine was still running. And running pretty fast.

get the TNX, you won't regret it.

yup i totally agree!! the tnx is a simple solid truck that works, theres noting fancy in em like hi tec gadgets and stuff but it works damm well,

i have 2 of em the tnx 3.0 and they are damm fast, and solid trucks that can hadle some abuse well!!!, and they handle damm well,

the 5.2 should be a beast

Well I just ordered the 5.2 last night! Can't wait for this thing to get here. I have an extra revo pipe and would that work because the plastic pipe has gotta go.

Just the muffler. I'd attach it to the coupler and make a custom exhaust hanger.

Wont do the same job as the plastic composite one. The revo pipe is 1/10 scale designed for small block engines. TNX 5.2r uses a big block engine and if you use 1/10 scale pipe you wil restrict the engine.

If you really want to change the pipe, go for sometthing like OFNA JP-2 or JP-3.

Or.. a cheaper route, that should also work well, is a LST or LST2 HT pipe, I have a LST1 pipe for my SH P6 and it was a big improvement over stock (MGT though) - you can find them for around $20 on the bay.... like the other guys said, the Revo pipe won't work, I'm sure you could get it on there but it would only hurt performance...

I have a Kyosho truggy with a bunch of sets of racing tires. Does anyone know if I can convert the TNX 5.2 so I can use the same wheels and tires? If yes, what do I need for the conversion? Thank you.

For 17mm hex wheels, you can use [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXXE06&P=7]these[/link] on the TNX.

Don't worry pat, as soon as our track is free of snow we'll be able to work on it and get some footage of the truck in action.

Man, I wish I would of read that before I ordered my hpi purple pipe lol. I wasnt really liking the purple but hey I guess when the body is on you wont see it anyways. I'm more of a silver guy lol. Even when I played paintball I got an all silver gun, even though we played in the woods.

I beleive the stock engine in the tnx 5.2 is not legal in the RC Pro Series Monster truck races. Can anyone suggest a good replacement engine? The only truck I have owned in the past was a Revo and I ran an 18TM engine. I am not familiar with roto starts. Thank you.
