Best filter for the 2.5?
I'd leave the stock one on they say the new motor was designed from the air filter to the exhaust to get the performance that it has, not putting down motor savers cuz I run them on my GT's and on the stock traxxas motor. I've got a K-N on my CVRX in my t-maxx

more air is almost always better,
as far as exhaust each engine does have to have the right amount of back pressure from low to high end, hints why you dont just "dump" from your headers

It's not good for the engine to run with the pipe off of it you will end up burning it up, it might sound cool but not healthy for it
