Default grooved tires MGT

Ok I was bored and decided to "modify" the rear stock tires on my MGT. Hopefully it will help w/ traction a little.

I dont think it will help the forward traction any but it will help the side to side traction quite a bit. I never have liked that type of traction pattern because of the side to side sucked but I will pry end up doing the same to mine.

I have done this on my old TMAXX, but found that cutting them in a offset pattern worked much better, devide the tread into halfs, and on one take remove the inner half and the next remove the outter half.

IT was a total improvement in everything, except on pavement, cornering greatly improved, I plan on doing it again to the set of TMaxx tires I just got for my Warhead.

hey thats like what they did with the masher 2000's or something?

except they have 2 grooves instead of one

I think they will improve hookup both forwards and backwards, more edges to bite and grab, nice job! Did U use an iron?

Looks like he used a hobby knife. I wouldn't use an iron on rubber tires.

oh... i assumed you were using them for snow cuz of those holes on your tires, they look like youve punched screws thru them so you could run on ice or something

aaaaaah never knew about that... in a few months time i think they'd come in real handy when the weather sets in again, just plug the holes back up from the inside with plasti dip or whatever once the screws come back off...
