RE: MGT Fuel
i find the stuff from my LHS is total CR@P, so i make my own, and so far it performs the best out of everything, plus good temps, performance, runtime, and my engine looks like new inside

I just switched from Byrons 20% to Sidewinder Race 20% and it seems to give me a good bit more punch (same stuff Jombo linked). I bought some O'Donnell's 20% RTR, but ended up selling that to a buddy. I only ran a couple of tanks of it, so not real evaluation to give. This is with the stock engine and LST2 pipe. You can try to go 25% or 30% to get some extra power.
In all actuality, if you get a free shipping code / $20-$25 off code, getting fuel from Tower is cheaper than LHS (at least in my case).

RE: MGT Fuel
You can go with anything really. Of those you mentioned I'd go for O'donnells
For good power and longevity from your engine you want to ideally run 25% nitro and have a mix of castor/synthetic oil not totalling more than about 12-14%. Brands I reccommend are tornado, O'donnells, byrons or modeltechnics.
The most important thing is the oil mix.

RE: MGT Fuel
i like to stick to making fuel with 10 to 12% oils, so much oil can only do so much in such a small engine, to much oil dosnt actually do anything other than make the engine run rich, its proven that 12% oil has the same protection properties as having 18% oils

RE: MGT Fuel
I have always used Red Alert and have had engines last up to 7 gallons before poof. Which in my case is about 2-3 years of run time lol. Only one engine didnt make it to 4 gallons and that was one of my first ofna engines. I had a spare so I ran the crap out that motor. The truck was ganna be scrapped so we thrashed that too. Made it till we went camping and was running around in a plowed corn field. Shoulda seen the inside of that motor when it went. Connecting rod broke and bang crack and all sorts of noise lol.

RE: MGT Fuel
Nitrotane 30% works awesome in the MGT's. Watch out if you're driving an 8.0 though, people think they're fast when they're on 20%, you should see them on 30%!!! DON'T BUY TRAXXAS TOP FUEL, unless you're running a Traxxas(Traxxas motors are so tight and run SO HOT that the extra oil isn't a hindrance when it comes to tuning). Tope Fuel's WAY TOO RICH! Go with oil between 8-12% like others on here have mentioned. I know O'Donnell seems to work good in them too, but the RTR stuff is a little oil rich.

Just because it's an old topic doesn't mean it's no longer valid and their is no interest in it though. I must say, I didn't read the OP date, but I saw it and knew it was a topic that is still valid, so I made a post.
