Default Question: What to get?

So I have been quietly browsing these forums again for the past week and a half. I have also been checking out some MTs, mostly the HPI Savage X, Savage X SS, and the CEN GST 7.7. However I have also become interested in the Stadium Trucks. What is so great about STs compared to MTs? Let me give you some background so yall can help me decide what would suit me best. I have been to some racing events, but they were for on road, but it gave me an idea of this r/c world. I am 16 and going to start a job next week which pays pretty well so I could probably buy something around the $500 range. I have not owned a "real" r/c car before, only the target/walmart ones. We do have a dirt track where I live([link=http://www.toys4bb.com/]Here is their site and a video of the track in use[/link]). I know this hobby cost money and I have read about tuning and maintenance about these extreme machines. Having said that, what do yall think? I am leaning towards a MT but its probably because I do not know a lot about the STs, so enlighten me if the are any good.

That page you linked to features a video of me... You should meet me there sometime soon so I can show you some stuff.

Actually we are not racing next weekend due to a big event in Austin but you should come by one a race day (currently Saturdays, soon back to Friday nights) and check it out.

$15, a lot of entertainment for the $$. I race both Standard Monster Truck class (SMT) and Unlimited Monster Truck also called Arena class. I pay $20 to run two classes.

I don't own a LST2 but i hear their great for racing on a track and their good bashers.
I would also suggest the GST 7.7, it's a bad***** truck, but when it comes to the track it's not the greatest at handling, it's good but not as good as a losi. If your not track racing it, then buy the GST 7.7, you won't be disappointed!

I second that, My GST 7.7 has been awesome. The size and torque is really amazing. ITs not a good racer but defintley the best basher out there. 3 speed with 7.7 engine.. cant beat that

I would really like to thank everyone who gave their input. Yall get +2 from me.

I checked out the LST2 on the TL website today. I saw that it comes with a JR XS3 FM Synthesized radio and a reciever battery pack. That was a big plus for me. I think I will end up getting the LST2 now. Where would I find the cheapest price on it. I have seen a NIB on eBay for $649.99 with free shipping. Anywhere else cheaper?

Right after I posted I went on Yahoo and started searching for LST2 and a post from RCU came up and it showed killer hobbies.com. Its freaking $70 cheaper than anywhere else. And how do I say 2DmaxLST sent me when I checkout? I wont order for probably 2 weeks though.
