Default i don't think my MT is shifting or anything...

how can i tell if its shifting to next gear or is it just *****g its rpm in first? i have a savage x for those who don't know? i don't think i am running a good lean condition right now could that be why? or is it changing and i don't realise its doing it? i tHought i would be able to hear it though...

help?

also how do i know when i am running to lean will it just keep dying out?

you should normally be able to hear a slight change in the engine RPM,

find a long straight and start off slowly increasing the throttle very slowy then you should be able to hear something, if there is no change you have to lean it out
