one way bleed valve for shocks
Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone besides myself has done this. Very cheap -for free- I've found that this help with the suspendsion set up by giving it a true two rate shock... Just wondering if anyone else came up with the same idea...

RE: one way bleed valve for shocks
two way dampers have different dampening rate for the down (compression) stroke of the suspension movement and the rebound stroke, the most simple way to do it is to have one way valves on the by pass holes of different sizes, so on the down stroke one one way valve closes and the other opens, then on the up stroke the one that was just open closes and the other one that is smaller or larger opens giving different dampening rates for the up and down movement of the shock (this is what i image cheiro has done)

Yep, its been done many ways over the years. Two piece pistons, balls in holes, flaps as you describe, needle and seat, tapered holes, etc. Just curious as to what he had come up with. Maybe something new!
