I'm wanting to put aluminum threaded shocks on the Savage. Looks like HB is coming out with some, are there any good ones available now?

The HB shocks are the only aluminum shocks available at the moment that I know of. Currently they are in stock at meganitro.com .

those hb shocks at meganitro are not threaded shocks. the only company that has threaded aluminum shocks is gpm racing. they are very expensive 180 for 8. or you can use new arms from new era models that let you use t-maxx threaded shocks

Tower Hobbies shows these threaded shocks being available in March sometime. There's no picture or description other than the header..."Hot Bodies Aluminum Threaded Shocks".

The HB shocks for the savage are sweet! I just got mine installed...will be able to test them out real soon.

I ordered mine from meganitro.

I just bought a set of threaded HB shocks anf they are really cool. I payed $69.99 for them at pegasus hobbies in riverside california. I live in colorado and I went to cali for a small business trip. I also bought a new OB heat sink for my stuck. while at the beach the batteries in my cotrol died and my savage went full speed into the great ocean. it stayed submerged for about 10 seconds when I managed to pull it out it was still running. I am glad to report that the truck sustained no damage.

So now we know where the "hydro" part of your name comes from.... ..... I can't believe it was still running! Is it okay still?

Thats pretty funny Savageone,
The truck is doing fine. I took appart the engine and cleaned the carburator out. I also had to clean the filter. The truck is doing just fine but I am worried about the steering servo. It feels kind of slow. I think I will take it appart today.
