Question about what electric motor for stampede
I just bought a stampede and it is completley stock right now,and i was just wondering what a good motor is for low end torqe, like a single or double. It cant be under 17 turns, and i would like to stay at or below $30.I was thinking of maybe getting the chameleon 2 pro,or a speed gems 17 turn double pro amber,or maybe a atomic force 17 turn double, but i need some more suggestions and ideas.I was also wondering if the p2k2 stock and pro is much more powerful than the stock motor. I would just like to have good low end torque with decent speed.I would like to be able to do wheelies from a stand still with stock gearing if possible.

Question about what electric motor for stampede
dude, u will nto get a decent motor for under $30
i too have a stampede all stock except for the motor, its pretty nice for speed but not a lot of torque
both of these motors are $35.99 at my local hobby shop
trinity p2k2 pro (i think thats the name)- good low end torque, not great for top speed
orion core stock motor- the one i own- added about 10 mph to my stampede
good luck

Question about what electric motor for stampede
I know im cutting it close on the prices,so round it up to $35.In the tower hobbies magazine, the chameleon 2 pro is $35, the p2k2 pro stock is $29,and the atomic force 17 turn double is $20.I was also looking at a monsters of touring 17 and 19 turn doubles which are $22 each.I would also like to know if the p2k2 pro stock is much more powerful than the stock motor or not.

i have a stampede that i race at our local track.
i win almost every week running a stock peradox motor.
i think a p2k would perform the same.

Question about what electric motor for stampede
I also have a stock Stampede, I am trying to sell it at the time....But I ran a P2k2 Pro and I have loved how it has performed. I used a Speed gems2 Onyx 14T double. I liked how it worked too, but wanted to race so I got the P2k2 pro and actually liked it better then the Speed Gems. Hope this helps.
