hey everyone, recently my Tamiya TNX had a little engine trouble. it wont shift, and its squirting green goo over the cooling head??
its an O.S. 18, which is an awesome engine but im lookin for something else so its not just sitting here....
anyone know of a small block that would power this monster??
thanks

The [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXHLV9&P=ML]OS .18TZ[/link] is only 140 at Tower right now. That's only 30 more than the cvrx and has a lot more power. How much are you looking to spend?

For big block conversion you could either use [link=http://www.neweramodels.com/item.cgi?session_id=lybnwrfaitqebhnbripwjyxpblgyji sl&part_id=2182]this[/link], or get a chassis and parts from a TNX 5.2 off ebay.
For a small block in that price range, your best bet is the [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXGGP6&P=ML]OS .18cvrx[/link].

The OS .18cvrx is a excellent engine for the TNX and is side exhaust wich means it will drop right in without any modification. A engine with rear exuast will require some modification to the shock tower for the exhaust manifold to fit.

The tz will not work without modification because it is rear exhaust.I have TNX 3.0 and it need a side exhaust engine. The big block conversion is available at www.neweramodels.com

For ease and simplicity I'd ge the ,18CV-rx. If you're up to doin some special mods, and a little custome work then go with the Tz...I've won races with both.
But the Tz doesnt have much competition on the straights, including big blocks.
