no the transmission was designed for no lube it will ruin it if u put lube in the tranny

No lubrication needed. All transmition parts are selflubing.

what do you mean by self lubing? does the transmission come w/lube? if so, do ever have to change it?

No, it's designed to be dry.

If you put heavy lube in there, the centrifugal force activated 2-speed won't work.

I took mine apart to install reverse module, and the gears were slightly rusted. I did spray WD-40 in there to help dissolve the rust. I removed most of it while removing rust, but some always remains. Hasn't hurt the tranny any that I can tell.
