my magic wheel came in saturday2 days extensive testing
well it finally came in....the truck is awesome!!!!!! but the engine is a piece of sh&t!!! its noisy,. its hard to start,heck after the first tank ful "ran like crazy" it wouldnt start at all felt like it was hydrolocking, very hard to pull over... so i decided to take the p.o.s. engine out and stuff my old rtr3 nitro star .15 in it!!!1 that truck is unstopable i mean it would prolly climb a tree if i tried..the suspension is killer the handling is awesome " had to adjust the caster/camber a bit though after it ran while and the shocks settled in .. the tranny is ok but it is hard to make shift and the instruction manual hahaha threw that thing away right away poor grammar and no tuning tips what so ever...but all in all the truck itself is pretty cool im thinking of buying another one fitting it with one of my roll cages i build, and try some freestyle with it,,, ill have a video toput on here soon.... i wouldnt say itll take the t-maxx but it will give it a good run on a track.. that is for sure i highly recommend the truck to a beginner who wants a cheap starter truck thats easy to upgrade" every single t,maxx part bolts on.. i mena the hole is even in the tranny case for the reverse shift rod!!!.. more to come

What i want to know is how can you transfer a vhs or 8mm tape to computer? i have a dvd reader/writer and the plug to hook computer up to the tv, but not the other way around. Can anyone help? The camera also has a/v plugs maybe i can use that too.

You can but it depends on your video card...
as for this truck it costs 300$ on ebay new. Only place i can find them myself.

To transfer vhs to computer you need a tv card what will take video input. You can buy an add on card that will work with your current video card. 50 bucks should be all it will cost. Hauppage makes a whole line of these cards. Other option is a video card that does video capture like the ati all in wonder, etc. If your 8mm viewer doesn't have an digital output which I haven't seen one yet that does, then the only cheap way to transfer to computer is to play it and record it with a digital video camera or vhs cam with a digital output. Hope this helps.

One of the Magic Wheel trucks on their website is a T-Maxx!
Call me crazy if you want to, but I'd bet dollars to donuts that one of the 2 pictures of the Magic Wheel (from their website) is actually a T-Maxx.
The one with a body on it is a T-Maxx. If you compare the picture of the truck with the body with the one without body, you will see differences in the rims, front bumper, and front skid plate.

wouldnt take be copy right infringement? i know people on ebay put writing on their pictures to claim them as theirs. dunno.
sounds like the engine is the only weak link. then again alot of people take out that traxxas 2.5 anyway so not much of a difference.
any thing you dont like other than the engine?
hows the servos?
hows the shocks?
anything else you might change?
im sure like mosts rtr the radio is junk. you going to change it asap or does it do it job fine?

On the maxxtraxx forum it was said that they actually bought the plans for the original tmaxx from traxxas, so it wouldn't be copyright infringement.

oh i should have said I DIDENT take those videos they were just hard to see on their site. im just pointing them out . and about the question for the radio. my friend is ordering the truck and there all the the same crystals in all the trucks and i dont know what ones to buy that would work with it.
oh ya i have cable too and i get arounf 1-3mb per second. ive never had dial up so i dont know how it feels to be going 5 kb/s

they are probably 27mhz am. you need to get a different channel them him. To make it easier, get a different color crystal then your buddy.

ok its been a few days
ok ive had my m.w. for a week now... the radio hasnt broke and seems to work fine and the engine is definately the week point on this piece... i have literally beaten this truck to death and it hasnt broke yet!!i love it its killer definately good servos" this thing rips the front wheels each direction sitting still and the brakes are killer too need be loosend up a bunch cause at full speed you tap the brakes it hurdles into the air ten feet and flips like a top doing summer saults and then lands on its back.. but otherwise the truck is fine witha engione swap!!!!!!!

wow that sounds like your really happy with it.
there goes that you get ehat you pay for theory. most people though the entire thing would be a brittle piece of junk. i guess magic wheel showed them its not about cheap parts its about cheap labor
i think i will buy one once i sell these other two hunk o junks i got here.
