Need help best engine to replace MGT stock 4.60 drop in, looking for more Hp
Hello I have a new MGT I want more power more speed what fits this truck? what is a drop in? and what can fit with some work? and the cost thanks up front.

The LRP Spec 3 seems to be a great engine. What's your price range as that is about $150 at towerhobbies with the applied discounts.

It has a 3.81hp claimed rating. It all depends on tuning, conditions, fuel, muffler...

LRP Spec 3 is the best thing going in the sub $200 price range.. For a bit more the Picco 28 is also worth a look.
I would get one of those(in fact, I already got the Spec 3 for my Muggy, and will probably get the Picco soon for my LST2..)
They are currently THE MT engines to get.

Get the LRP spec 3. Thats one of the best engines for under $200. Also look at the STS .30, Axial .28 spec 1, and the Picco .28.

I have heard and seen some really good running Dynamite 28 platinums.
As well I understand its a tad bit faster than teh LRP spec 3

I should get my spec 3 by the end of the week for my mgt. I like the platinum from what I have read about it. I think that is what I'll drop in my LST2. you can get the platinum for under $200 I think it was $179.00 at amainhobbies.com.

Spec 3 if you want crazy power and easy running. If you want THE animal go for an STS .30, not many engines can come close, but LRP does.. 3.8 claimed HP with high RPM's, only drawback is a 1 gallon break in but trust me when I say from experience, time flies. It took me 4 hours to run a gallon through

Ive had the stock TT28, it was OK, then upgraded to a Dynamite Mach 28 was much better, now I got the LRP Spec 3 and its INSANE POWER, yes I shouted! You wont be dissapointed with it, its awesome and running O donnel race 20%, it rocks. 149.oo at tower with the 20.00 off coupon.
