savage Q's
Hey what's up everyone? I just bought a Savage and it's awesome, but I'm new to the r/c world so I'm not sure what are the best mods I should do to it first. Everything is stock, my question is is it worth changing my air filter and if so which one is best. If anyone is running theirs in warm weather how is your carb set (how many turns out)? Do you have to mess with the carb settings alot? Thankx for your time I appreciate your advice.

You might want to consider:
-a skid plate for the center section
-stiffer tire foams
-changing the stock shock oil for some stiffer silicone oil
-bigger air filter (but stick to foam)
These are just a few of the items that are pretty easy but provide a nice bang for the buck.

Fuel filter is a good idea but the one I got (a duramax filter) caused an air leak and had to be removed. I've heard good things about dubro's filters, tho. Cheaper than replacing an engine.

Yup I got a dubro inline fuel filter, works great. Checked it once but wasnt dirty cause my tank also has one on the pick up. Knoxville once opened the same kind as my fuel filter that he has on his savage and said that he didnt even know how fuel could get threw there was so much crap in it! Good thing he had it.
