Letsskydive- there are a number of things you can do to improve the brakes. You can get a 5-cell "hump" battery pack (that will improve the voltage to the servo and make it stronger), you could get a carbon fiber brake disk (made for a T-Maxx) it will grip better, or you could do the dual disc brake mod (not enough room to fully explain, but if you do a search on Google.com, you can find complete instructions) What I did was- when I replaced the HD steering servo with a better one (180 oz/in.), I used the stock steering servo on the accel/brakes. The cheapest mod is to adjust the actuator rod (HPI # 86108) so that it is lower and it sticks out the bottom about 9mm. That will improve your brakes at no additional cost to you. I hope this helps.

You can also replace that POS hose spacer they put on there, with a stiffer kind of hose. I used one from a Windex bottle, cut it to fit and slid it on there and my truck wouls lock up the brakes at full speed. Better than smacking the curb, I'd say. Try it it works.

Just adjust the actuator rod a bit lower , sfgascot is right. Put it at about 5mm lower than stock and it will flip like hel !

I did it too , and the best part is...... this mod. is for FREE !!!!!

david.
