RE: how many people have had probs with there sts engines.
LRP or the XTM stuff is way better in tuning for sure. I wouldn't spend much time on STS...sorry.
I was sponsored by one of their distributors and found the engines to be over hyped. They are so tight and need such a long break in due to over exploited tolerances...AKA improper tolerances. Their needles were an odd threading so thinking in hours wasn't the same as all the other engines I have used.
I've had many, OS, XTM, STS, RB, Hyper, Traxxas, and one older Picco. I find for the budget the XTM, LRP, and other SH based engines perform very well for the prices and with good life and easy to tune.

My STS D21T ate cranks, it ran great but I never knew when it was going to fail.
Note: Nova Rossi carb,Boca Ceramics and new rod at 2 gallons just to be safe, 2 cranks before I made it to three gallons.

You need to learn when to keep your mouth shut.. All you have been doing is giving negative comments towards these motors constantly despite not owning one... Grow up and get a life...
