I bought a T-maxx here on RCU, but it seems to be the older one, but, it also looks like the 2.5 chassis, are they the same, does anyone have pics of the old T-maxx chassis?
thanks

Alot of the new 2.5 parts replaced the old ones.

The new 2.5 chassis is 3.2mm thick.
the old .15 chassis is 2.5mm thick.

I'm runnin the old chassis w/ aluminum braces so it's stiff enough.

Check to see if it has bulkhead braces.
If it doesn't it's 1st generation T-Maxx.

sure the new 2.5 will fit you just need the kit which comes with new linkages and new header and pipe ... and os 15 cvx is 2 turns so 2 1/2 to be safe

then if its a 10e carb the lsh 1/2 turn out from seated ... head over to os engines web site they got the engine manual for ya

The 2.5 engine will fit the old Maxx.
That was a bogus post.Dude didn't know what he was talking about.
You may need to get a 2.5 conversion kit,but it will definetly fit.
The 2.5 IS a .15 sized motor.
The label it 2.5 cuz thats the displacement.

Default bulkhead braces and chassis

the chassis are not the same the2.5 is alot harder to bend andthe bulkhead braces are what hold the bulheads together for extra support so my advice is to get the 2.5 ones cause they r cheap and very strong jus get aftermarket screws
makin traxx on your azz
