LST2, MGT 8.0, savage 4.6 RTR, are all around 45 MPH out of the box (around the fastest RTR's are getting these day's), first two are 22 inches, savage is 20 i think.

I like the size of the savage. It's big enough for hard bashing, yet small enough for small spaces and is more durable bacause it's smaller. Also, the savage is pretty much the most durable of the 3. MGT 8.0 is fastest stock, then LST2, then savage x 4.6 then MGT 4.60se! Go savage [>:] lol

MGT 8.0 is 24" and i think it has the more powerful engine by far 8.0cc (.50ci) .

But the it wil not rev as high
But the it wil not rev as high
Those trucks, (over 13.4lbs) needs torque a low rpm to start moving.

you see, the problem with the MGT 8.0, is the engine is a converted helicopter engine, it might be torquey, but it makes little power, particularly being a side exhaust engine, the big engines are never as powerful as the specifically designed .28's because in an aircraft power is not the top priority, in an aircraft the engine must hold a tune to the tea even with weather conditions change, the engine must be able to rev at full throttle continuously, and most importantly the engine must be reliable, you can't have $2'000 worth of heli gear plummeting out of the sky because the engine fails.
even though the MGT 8.0 might have the biggest engine, i seriously doubt it being the most powerful or fastest monster truck, the CEN .46, which was made specifically for ground use with rear exhaust pulled .82 HP less then the leading .28 (ab mods picco .28 P3), and i''m sure all the experienced guy's here (particularly if they've dealt with planes and helicopters in the past) will agree with me.
oh and on a side note, torque at the crankshaft doesn't get you anywhere, it's how much torque at the wheels that matters, you can hav an engine making half the torque, but at twice the RPM and it will get you off the line just as fast, or quicker even considering the smaller engine is going to be lighter.

All 1/8 has about the same top speed, 40 -45ish including HPI, Losi, AE, traxxas, CEN, ...etc
CEN GST 7.7 / Nemeiss 7.7 are the most torquey one and XTM MT ( not the newest one) actually do over 50mph and is the fatest one ( top speed wise)
