Default MGT 8.0 hubs 23 mm

Well, i just thought i'd post this for you guys. I know in one of the MGT threads floating around, someone wanted 23 mm hubs, or 17mm hubs. The internet stated that this truck had 22mm hubs. AE had replied to someone on their talk forums stating they are 23mm. So i figured i'd verify what they are...

With the growth of the MGT population, maybe there does need to be an AE monster truck section. Alot of cluttered information in the few really big threads about these trucks.

And for those that are interested in 17mm. The M2C racing hubs appear to be a perfect fit. Though im using them with HPI Savage XSS wheel nuts, that are made for 17mm. Here are some pics.

8.0 with the M2C hubs, and wabash 17mm wheels.

M2C hubs, with 17mm LPR/Holeshots

Grr, dark pics make me mad. M2C hubs, spacing seems identical to the stock 23mm hubs. I was worried about too much pressure on the bearing, but the depth for the pin seems the same between the two hubs. If i blow up some bearings, or melt wheel hexes, we'll know why. LOL

Stock hub.

Just thought i'd share.

That's cool that they are 23mm hexes and not 22mm. There shouldn't be any bearing failures if it is pushing on the bearing race since it has the spacer between the bearings to transfer the load to the other bearing, which is seated against the axle. I see you got the FT shock bodies and caps on already. What else have you done to it?
