Default Retro Thread. Post your new build/NIB/old school MT pics!

If you have a vintage RC MT, post a pic up here! MNIB, NIB, New build or otherwise. MT's only for this thread.

I want to see some old clods, USA-1s, Blackfoots, Bruisers, whatever! Old action shots that you had digitized would be cool too!

Here is the Varicom Big Grizzly. Found on eBay, not mine. Perfect example of a Big Grizzly, circa 1986 or so.

Varicom Industries was a brand created by then hobby giants Hobby Shack (now known as Hobby People).

Beautiful example of a USA-1 electric MT. Dual motor, 4 wheel drive, 4 wheel steering, this was Kyosho's direct response to the Clodbuster. Again, this one isn't mine, found it on eBay. This was introduced in 1988 if I remember right.

Kyosho Hi-Rider corvette. This shared parts with the Big Brute and Double Dare. Was a 2WD model. What made this truck (or car) standout was the Corvette Body, the chrome friction shocks and the cool hurricane wheels tires. This was introduced in 1988 along with the Double Dare as a lower cost alternative (picture courtesy Tamiyaclub user richeytanimal.)

Kyosho Big Boss, pretty much the Hi-Rider Vette with a Ford truck body. (Tamiya Club user Wikedvette)

When I was a little kid growing up in China, my family was too poor to afford such luxuries like RC cars. So when I got severely sick and had to spend a month in the hospital, my uncle bought me two wind up motor cars, one a model of the Monster Beetle and one a model of the Bullhead. I still have both at home.

Cool story! Thanks for sharing. Actually, I do have a NIB unbuilt Big Bear, but none of those trucks are mine. I put credits on most of the pictures to the owners. I just posted them up in one place so we could relive their glory!
