i want to run two 13-14 turn motors & a single 6 cell pack in a twin detonator my problem is i dont know what esc to use, years ago when ther were no twin motor/ 14.4 volt esc's, guys ran normal esc's and spliced the motor wires so that they could run 2 hot mod's in clod busters and USA-1's, but how did they know the speedo would hold up? do i need to look for esc's with high continuous amp ratings or peak amp ratings, how would i know that i could run two 13-14 turn mods w/out frying the esc!

If you are splicing them..I would take the max and continous ratings of both motors multiply them by two and see if they are under the ratings of the esc..

I agree, double it and see. It will be close to running 1 7-10 turn motor. A pair of 14 turn motors was one of my favorite set-ups on the TD and I used a evx esc.

well...1 hot mod will pull about 30-35 amps so thats 70 amp to be safe, so if i used my novak GTS which can handle a max of 500-540 amps you think i would be ok.
