Besides the MGT 8.0 and 3.0, does anyone have the skinny on any other new MT's. I want to get an LST2 but I would be very upset if they release a LST3 a few months later [:-]

Well Losi already has the mini ramunition announced. So im sure an 1/8th scale ramunition is sure to follow. Just wouldnt make sense to pay the licensing fees for that body, then not use it to its fullest. Though im willing to bet Losi will base that on the LST1, like the rest of the trucks they've been releasing. Traxxas just released the new E-maxx, so i dont think they're due for anything for a while. HPI however is long overdue for a whole new truck. CEN is also working on that race .28 version of the Genesis. That im told will be ready soon. But who knows... RCX isnt too far away. We'll see more then im sure.

I want to see Kyosho's next monster personally... Their stuff is unique and imaginative. I just hope that their US distribution gets much better along with the new truck too. Definitely asking too much. Gil Losi, PLEASE! Get a strong US distributor for Kyosho products, get parts costs down and get Kyosho competitive again in the US on something besides the Inferno line.

I think with the way existing designs are selling, it is hard to justify releasing a new MT. That's not to say that HPI, Traxxas and others don't have new MT's on tap in development, but why release them while the existing lines are doing so well? There is no business sense in releasing a new MT that will essentially compete with and obsolete out the existing model when it's doing well.

Not until things quiet down and sales begin to dip will some new models come out.

They already have Kyosho America which is WAY better than Great Planes ever was.

I think at RCX you'll see some new MT's. Many crawlers will be the main focus I can almost guarantee that.

Through Great Planes though, we got Kyosho products through Tower and other retailers. I don't like paying full retail MSRP at Kyoshoamerica.com, and with no competition you end up paying full price for every single part. Kyoshoamerica does not distribute through any of the mainstream hobby retailers and therein lies the problem. It's a monopoly on parts. Lower distribution, lower volume = higher prices.

More crawlers eh? I do like some crawlers. I can't believe how big that segment is now!

I disagree Dale, the problem you see is people not buying parts. A Main hobbies carries Kyosho parts that sell, if people bought enough say Mad Forces to make the market flooded like with an HPI or Traxxas you can bet A Main would stock all the parts.

The problem is Kyosho and Tamiya's lack of commitment to supporting the trucks and making trucks the MASS market loves, not a smaller segment.

I don't think I can bring myself to buy a kyosho the way they discontinue their stuff and stop making parts. They are way over priced on some of their stuff also. The 777-RR I'm looking at you........
