Default warhead hub conversion

i was wondering if anyone had converted thier warhead over to 17mm hubs so you can run diffrent rims and tires. if so what parts did you use. i searched but its came back empty on finding anything.

Thanks in advance.

I asked this same question in the Warhead thread. I found these on Tower Hobbies for the Savage, and they *look* like they'd fit, but I don't know. Can anyone confirm that these will work??

What nuts do you mean? That should fit right onto the axle shaft and into a 17mm wheel right? The only difference i can see is that the warhead uses 2.2mm wide shaft pins, while the savage uses 2.5mm. I'm not sure if it'd be a problem to use the original warhead pins. There would be a tiny bit of play in the hub.

Proline has adaptors. I don't remeber if they are listed for the warhead or not. Email them and they will give you the part # that fits.

The pro-line adapters are 23mm and will not fit on the evo cause its uses 8mm stub axles and the pro-lines were designed for the maxx trucks and revo and they use 6mm stub axles not sure thats the exact size but I do know they use smaller stub axles so the adapters wil be too small unless you drill them out which could be a real pain in the *****.

Get the savage x ss 17mm hexs and nuts and they should fit since the evo and savvy both use 8mm stub axles...

I saw those, but the thing i'm worried about is that the pins that come on the warhead are 2.2mm thick, while the ones in that kit are 2.5mm. The Warhead pins are also a little over 2mm longer than the Savage pins. I'm afraid I'm just going to have use witchcraft to get these 17mm Axial beadlocks on my truck!

I ordered some stock Raze 17mm hex hubs, they fit using the stock pins that come with them. slightly file the backside of the hex so the pin lines up, and use the stock nut from the original warhead hub. I trial fitted one from my kid's raze and it looks like it will work fine.

Does the drive pin fit on the warhead? The stock Warhead drive pins are 2.2mm and the ones that come on those Raze hubs are 2.5mm. Does that 2.5mm pin fit in the hole on the drive shaft?

just so everyone knows, the stock 17mm Raze hubs can be made to fit, and the pins fit perfect. Just file down the back side of the Raze hubs slightly so the drive holes line up, and ur good to go!!!
