As above, i just dug mine out the cupboard, charged it and gave it a blast today, i forgot how much fun it is and how industructable they are, an old kit now i know but still cuts it in the fun department, so post up some pics if there is anyone else still using one !

Hmm, I always wondered about the reason for the shock setup on the USA 1 and the XTM Mammoth. Cool trucks though, here comes Dale....

ok.. It's this piece. Circular with a opening, I guess to spreads a little to take the shock load. I CA'd it, but I doubt it would ever hold. It sandwiches between 2 other parts.

In the uk its a bit of a nightmare trying to find these after market parma bodies for trucks etc as most model shops are only stocking pre built kits with pre painted bodies, is there anywhere you guy's can reccomend with a good range of bodies ?

its has a o.s max 21 rg with a racing pipe which is blue, also it has been converted to 2wd for more speed and fun, will those wheels you have on your mad force fit my usa 1 as the outer lip on my wheels is pretty much all snapped off and i have probs with the tyres coming off ?

These were more or less the first "Truggy", if you will. I don't have the USA-1, but the Mad Force. I'm sure these are just as fun, though. It seems to have some substantial weight to it. The Mad Force, in comparison, is light for its size.

Ive always wanted one of those trucks right from the start but setteled for the madforce kit, which is also a great truck

a couple of years after i got my madforce i got a kyosho gigacrusher then a cen gst, then a cen mg16 i then purchased a tamiya txt1

not content i started searching for my old favourite the USA1 and a few months into my search i came across one which had been

professionally built ,painted and had full ball bearings a high torque coreless steering servo and a high torque throttle servo fitted and

best of all it had only been used as a shelf queen brand new and never ran,

Ive had her for almost a year and with my other trucks being used most weekends
ive only got around to breaking in the engine

I have a Usa-1 nitro with a upgraded aluminum tray, aluminum wheels, and I upgraded shock towers to use the longer oil filled shocks from the burns. The steering system is real wimpy with the gas servo saver. I am upgrading that to with a adjustable heavy duty unit.

Alright...Nice USA-1. Takes me back bout 20 years....but didn't USA-1 have a flag in back? Can't remember if the RC had the flag but the 1:1 did.
