Default question about a T-Maxx clutch

I don't think my clutch is grabbing like it's supposed to. It will barely scratch off in the loose gravel, and won't even think about climbing a hill. It has new shoes, spring, and 20 tooth clutch bell. I am also certain the flywheel is not slipping on the crank shaft. The engine seams to be tuned about right. I am an experienced model aircraft builder/flier so tuning engines is nothing new. It might not be prefect, but it is close. I don't know what else to try, maybe I have been spoiled by the several electric cars and trucks (this is my 1st nitro)I have owned over the years, were you just squeeze a little harder if you want to spin harder. If I put my Maxx on a sheet of plywood at a 45deg angle, shouldn't it shoot up that thing like a rocket? I'm about to give up on this ground, nitro crap! What do you think?

Default RE: question about a T-Maxx clutch

I just bought a T-Maxx 3.3 and it climbs straight up curbs from a dead stop. It pulls wheelies from dead stops on grass. I may not even be a the flywheel it could be in the transmission. I don't have a huge amount of Nitro experience but don't give up it is a blast when it right.

Might wanna look at the slipper pegs and spring tension. Turn the spring all the way in and then back it out about 1/4 turn.
