Default OUCH!

Weather was fine, conditions were perfect...... so how did this happen last Saturday at the Oasis on the Oval? OUCH THAT HURTS !

it looks like you hit something hard. and you may have had some missing screws, or they could have been loose. your gonna have to take almost the whole truck apart now. what did you hit?

well, this proves plastic is stronger than metal.

That is a weak spot on the savage design... It should have some cross bracing up front, or a metal base for the electronics. That is a long distance from the engine/trans plate to the front diff assy w/o strong support.

Not the first time I have seen that on a Savage.

When you rebuild, check on ebay... Someone sells cross braces for that vulnerable part of the design.

Fix it and leave the chassis bent, I dont call that a crash i call it custom body work.

actually my car has gotten so much air before (like 15 feet!) and i didnt land it. and i landed on the bumper and the truck was fine. it drove away after it bounced a few times.

Just take off the Vertical plates and stick them in a vice to try and straighten them out. But I don't even know if that will help!

I would make some home made titanium braces that supported the plates. They would each be put in between the plates. That would probably fix it.

what you could also do is buy the bottom support that goes to support the front of the truck in aluminum. thats the black plastic thing that you have screws going into the side of and bottom of.

yea thats what happens when you go big with a savage I have seen them do that trying to jump as big as my stampede does
