Terra Crusher
I have both a T maxx and a Terra Crusher. I love both of them but they are very different. The Terra is an off road beast and a climbing machine. Its very fun in the back yard and construction sites. If you buy one I would reccomend Ebay. I got mine there for very cheap. They have several New In Box Terras for $325 or less usually. I gave $225 for mine 3 minutes after the guy listed it on ebay with a buy it now option. He could have gotten much more for it but I didnt tell him that. Watch the buy it now constantly and view by newly listed. You may be able to find a buy it now really cheap and get it before someone else does. There are sometimes terras with .21 in them on sale there also.
Things I like about my crusher
1. starts easy
2. reliable engine
3. reverse
4. electric start
5. off road ability
6. strength of chassis and suspension.
7. big size
8. stable in a straight line at top speed over bumpy surfaces
Things I dont like
1. carb on engine only has 1 needle adjustment(my major pet peeve) people have gotten pretty big horsepower gains by changing this carb to an OS 2 needle. You can also bore this carb out but that sounds a little tricky.
2. engine is not as powerful as my tmaxx
3. doesnt corner as well as t maxx
4. is a bit heavier than t maxx
Overall I really love the truck. It is alot more fun in construction sites than my T maxx. T maxx is more fun on a baseball field or the like. Terra Crusher seems to jump and climb better also. It would not beat a T maxx in a drag race or top speed though. 31 mph top speed. The one thing I wish for in a Terra Crusher is a more power in the lower rpm range.

kenlhmaxx, when are you getting your Savage? Keep me in the loop and maybe we can get a good deal together!!
As for the Terra, are you thinking of asking your Japanese buddy to bring it over or what? Keep me to date on that too... I might like to buy an engine from Japan to replace the Savage stock and if the price is right.... I MIGHT GET A TERRA TOO

Terra Crusher
I have seen Crushers with carbs from O.S. and ofna on them. I am not sure about the megatech you might try posting something in the Terra Crusher web forums. I do know you can buy a 2 needle carb that will fit from newera for $29. It is a direct fit with no modifications. Aside from being 2 needle it is also a bigger bore than the stock carb. Carb mods really seem to wake up the crusher.
New era are also selling a complete K&B .18 engine for Crusher as a direct bolt in. Its dirt cheap $69 (from new era) rated at 1.15 horsepower versus the stock .8 horsepower. Has a 2 needle carb and ABC construction. It has pullstart but the tamiya electric start can work with it. http://www.modelengine.com/18/8811.htm
Hope this helps.
