Does this exist: Electric 4WD Truck <$200?
Hi all, first post (been around for a while reading off and on, and now back on).
I'm looking for an electric 4WD 1/10 monster truck that isn't too pricey. The only 4WD ones I've seen so far are over $300. Are there any that are around $200 or less? Lots of RWD, but I haven't been able to find 4WD. I'm just looking for something my wife and I can take to the park and have some fun with.
I've looked into some nitro ones and there are a couple (HB Lightning GT10 and CEN Magnum NX) that have what I want at a price that's closer than the electric 4WD versions, but I'd like to stick with electric to minimize maintenance and cleanup.
Thanks for the help!

Welcome to RCU, the Twin detonator by Tamiya is going to work out less than $200 with a cheap radio. Maybe you'd have to go for used.

Nitro,
Nope, not here from across the pond yet. I'm a team driver for CEN and I asked for one for the indoor season here in the midwest. Nothing yet. I hear that CEN is releasing some new products this spring so keep checking the CEN web site.

Thanks for the suggestions guys! I took a look at the Tamiya Twin Detonator...with a decent radio and ESC, a charger, and stick pack, it gets closer to the cost of an E-Savage. Hmm...more thinking to do.

4WD is way better than 2WD. when your 2WD truck gets stuck all the 4WD trucks will just keep going over the stuff. if you want something decent and cheaper look into the wheelie king

The only time my 2wd trucks ever really got stuck was on ridiculously steep hills or when they high centered.
Yea, a 4wd is more capable, but the reduced maintenance and extended run time of 2wds is great. That and I have a blast driving 2wds.

I'm under the impression that 4WD trucks are more able to go up and over obstacles (without having to jump over them via impact at speed). Perhaps I have the wrong impression, but I figure with all 4 wheels working, it would both push and pull and get the truck out of situations when the rear wheels are no longer in contact with a surface while the fronts are. My cheap Nikko truck I bought 8 years ago (from toys-r-us) gets stuck sometimes (tho it doesn't go very fast).
I've been considering stadium trucks recently as there aren't really many areas that have lots of obstacles around me. And a friend of mine keeps telling me go for the faster one.
