If your guys really want a new motor get the picco .26. I have seen it for roughly around 270. My lhs sells it for that with a pipe of my choice so i think i may try it in my losi XXX-NT or Kani

I'm sorry, I misread the ad at Tower, seems they want you to drill out the stock T-Maxx pipe and use it.
Has anyone tried this? Also I would be interested in a side by side comparison of the drilled out stock pipe, and the tuned pipe made for the Sirio.

The .26 is way too big for a Maxx or XXX-NT.

It wouldnt even fit in a xxxnt without major modifications, besides that it would be plum stupid to put a .26 in a 1/10 scale stadium truck.

It wouldn't fit in a T-Maxx either without major mods.

Tinity/Sirio tells you exactly what you need to do to the stock 2.5 pipe. The pipe needs to be drilled out so the engine can breath more. Bigger holes mean faster exiting exhaust.....

Could it be possible the 2.5 just takes an extemely long time to break-in? I ran an entire tank of fuel through mine yesterday and it didn't stall once. It now has about 20 tanks of fuel through it. I've noticed it likes the low speed mixture set rich. Rich enough to spit raw fuel. If I try to set it any leaner, it starts the quitting crap again. As long as it's running like it should, I ain't messin' with it.

I Just got two engines on the "replacement rip off plan". And both run fine. NO longer fuel lines, not jacking with this and that.

Broke them both in, and they run fine!

I finally got to break mine in yesterday, and once I got the mix right, needle was five turns out from out of the box. It would not even start that rich. It only stalled about 5 times in five tanks of gas and the glow plug looked very good when doing after run maintenance. And the engine runs very strong even very rich. It was spitting fuel out the exhaust the whole time and the temp never went above 230. One thing I did before I ran it was to add about 19 inches of pressure line and about 8 inches from my carb.
