Default idle problem with mmgt

i have a slight problem with my mmgt
i broke the drive shaft so i am finishing break-in while idleing
it idles low untill i rev it up then it idles high for 3 or so seconds and drops down,
i am not moving its running with no driveshafts
i am not reving it high im just clearing it out
i think its the glow plug but im not sure, when i light up the plug with the ignighte the first 3-4mm of the coil is burnt
is that the problem or is it somin eles

Sounds like it's lean for some reason. You said your in break in right, you didn't touch the needles did you. If not my next thing would be an air leak somewhere. I would check the fuel line and fuel tank first. Then if you don't find it there, you are going to have to reseal the engine again.

I forgot to mention though, first always check the easiest thing. Like you said, replace the glow plug with another one. I run MC #8.

its really really rich an 1/8 of a turn more
and when i was drivin it yesterday when i got to high rpm it would stall
i know what ya mean, sounds lean but its really rich, now it just dies alot, i think its the glow plug, ill replace it and see

i thin but im not sure
i think i saw bubbles in the fuel line, but i not 100% sure i think ill buy new line and plug and try that

Can I ask how you broke the drive shafts and you are doing break in? The Idle method really isnt the best way to break in a motor. It wont get up to tunning temps fast enough and it wont give the con rod a chance to stretch. You really should run the truck. What king of engine are you breaking in?

1st three tanks i ran the engine,
a rock flew up and hit the drive shaft, i idled through one tank today but with accasional reving, to keep the temp at 190- 212 then the glow plug died so i stopped
or it was a week part, i was at most 1/4 throttle
i called associated and told em what happened there sendin me free parts, ive heard of other ppl breakin the same part

Well sounds like you can start to lean out and start gaining power once you get parts. Just so you know the TTR engine likes to run on a bit of the hotter side like around 260-270 for best results. Its probably the easiest engine to tune, very durable and extremly long lasting. These last forever. Great engine but not the most powerful.
