Default MT-1 Monster Truck engine trouble

Hi !
Can anyone help us ?
we got 3 MT-1 Monster Truck cars with Force 3,5 ccm engines.
We have been running for about 2 hours all togheter.
and now the engines will not run on low speed, they stop when
we remove the glowstarter ? ? ?

anyone have an solution for this ?

they must last longer or this must be an expensive sport

thanx for all help we can get

I had a similar problem on my Savage. When I would remove the glow igniter the truck would shut off. I replaced the glow plug and the problem went away:/

You must be running the engine to rich. And yes , this hobby is expensive!!!! Don't let anyone foul you, glowplugs sometimes only last .... seconds. I have the same problem. It happens that I use for 25 bucks glowplugs on the same day (a bad day that is)

But hey, at least this is better than getting drunk in a bar all the time isn't it ?

Yea its probably the glow plugs, that happened to me when I started too. I think when you start breaking your engine in, you tipically go though a few glow plugs, I think I read that somewhere. Yea so I agree with Epik on this one.

I read from somewhere the glow ignitor cannot be left on the plug when you have no intention of starting the engine as this will blow the plug easily. If it didn't start after some time, pull it out and try again. Else, loosen it a little to allow pressure to be released and tighten once the engine starts.

Thanx for the reply !

I have no problem with starting the engine, but if the plug causes
the stop, it must be false air trough the plug then !
Do You guys know where to get good/cheap plugs on the internett,
Here in Norway the prices for 1 plug is about 10 US$
And we got the cars for 800 US$(with servo, radio - ready to run)
These cars we bought is of the marked, because Carson would like to sell the
same amount as Sintech.
the MT-1 Monster Truck is the same as Black Phantom

Thanx to all of You for replying

This is a very good place/forum for RC cars

It's really expensive over at Norway. I get my OS#8 plugs for US$3 each and the trucks in Singapore are usually US$400-500. Parts and hop ups are also cheaper here. Anyway, wherever you are in the world, smell that nitro fume and be hooked!!
