Ok!! What Gives???
I just tried to take my Savage out for a little showing off(the neighbor kids wanted to see it) and the pullstart on my 8 port is not working right.When I pull it just pulls and recoils without turning over the engine and now I look like an idiot because I couldn't get it started.Is the one-way bearing stripped or something.

Does the engine crank when you pull??
Its prolly something stupid like dead glow ignitor batteries.. lol
IF the pull start is out.. you'll know it!
And.. heck I'm sellin a Pull start .. 20 bucks shipped. Interested?!

Ok!! What Gives???
The pullstart just pulls out without turning over the engine but it recoils fine so I don't think it broken.i'm taking it off now to see what up I wanna go out and try and save face before it gets to dark.

LOL.
I think your pull start is broken then. Your pulley isnt in contact with the crank then. That part probably broke.

The pullstart seems to be working fine.It's pulling and recoiling fine while it off the engine.Is the shaft and the pullstart one peice or does the shaft come out?

Got it to work it was the one-way I just cleaned it out and now it works fine but my #@$%&@# wheel fell of and I lost the reverse thread nut.Thanks for all the help guys.
