Good truck...
I've got a Dom, and it's a great truck. I've had minimal breakage, and with the 2 speed, this thing FLYS. Your fiancee made a good choice. How do I get my wife to buy me a truck???
Regarding the failsafe, get it NOW! And, buy a nimh battery pack for your receiver. Then, you don't have to worry about batteries popping out either. You can set the failsafe to put your throttle postion wherever you want it when it loses feed from the radio or gets interference (full brakes would be the logical choice). I think that all of them also engage when battery power is low. It's a must-have gadget. It sounds like you've had luck with your run-aways, but the next time it could head straight for someone's property or someone...
