I got it in a trade a while ago, and its just a D O G Well, I was wondering who all has one, and what they though of this engine, and what plug they are running in it, what temp it should run. it wont burn out in gravel or climb a curb its such a turd at this point...
Its odd, first off it will run OK, then it starts to run crappy, Ive gone richer but no good....
Thanks

Low compresion(sp) if it runs good cold and bad warm, your compression is shot and its time to replace the piston and sleeve or the whole darn engine. The Torq .21 is a fairly user friendly engine and holds a tune very well, but sounds to me like your in need of a new plant or rebuild!! Hate to be the bringer of bad news, but those are the facts man.

Hey, thats fine if thats it, it sure has alot of resistance on the pull starter for a shot motor

So...is it better to fix this thing or just get a XTM24.7 (I think thats it anyway) engine for it?

i have the same DOG, but here is what i did to help:
-high stall clutch (cut a few links off these springs as well)
-took the head off and took the spacer to the file and ground the seat/lip that the glow plug goes into (hence putting the spark closer to the piston) warning do not run ideler bars with this combo
-R5 plugs

*these mods helped but not as much as a 24.7 would

Default If it is not worn out it is out of tune.

I have a Torq .21 on my T-Maxx and it rips big time! It wheelies everytime I gun it! My brother totaled his Nitro Demon so it was mine for the taking and I am glad I did!
