Default Will this work?

I am going a little crazy and completely modding my 2.5 maxx. I decided to go with the hardcore titanium chassis, but the problem is, I didn't know it was for the pro .15. I called traxxas and they said that the only difference between the pro 15 and 2.5 chassis (besides thickness) is the 3 holes to mount the throttle bellcrank. I also hopped up to a robinson racing forward only aluminum gearbox and that is where I ran into my problem. The RR gearbox will not allow me to mount it in position because the steering bellcrank is in the way by about 1/8". My question is, If I mount the steering bellcrank about 1/8" back from it's origional position (by drilling the chassis), will this cause a problem with the throttle arm that goes to the slide carb? Will it rub against the carb or needle? I can't judge it because every pic I look at of the 2.5 has the airfilter and I can't see the throttle arm that leads to the slide carb.
