Theres diffenatlly room for a BB . Looks like its built well other then the bumper mounts and a-arms but I'm sure if RPM gets there hands in it that wont be a problem.

Anyone else notice the weird pressure nipple location on the pipe?

The major issue I see is the upper shock mount balls. Might work on an X-Ray mini but not on a bigger MT.

Well, not in the US yet. But he took those pics at his hobby shop. So its safe to say its available in Germany, i believe thats where he is from. I talked with my LHS yesterday, and they just received notice from Kyosho of some new products. But the distributor does not know when these trucks are arriving. They just told me "soon".

I just read the review of it in RCCA. Right off the bat I don't like the "frail" looking suspension and small blocks don't really impress me much. The trans is cool, but that's about it. To me it looks like Kyosho took a T Maxx and reworked a few things to call it their own. I'm not going to run out and buy one. I don't know what market Kyosho is going after with this one: bashers or racers?

The same market Kyosho ALWAYS goes for when not releasing an on-road car or 1/8 buggy...ones that don't know any better[&:]

Newbie: I want an RC truck that NOBODY has! I want it to be so difficult to get parts for that I'd beg for a sharp stick in the eye!

LHS guy: Sure, how about this newfangled Kyosho truck that will be discontinued in three months?

Newbie: WOW, that's cool! No other truck has that much uncalled for convolution! I'll TAKE IT!

Took some pics of the DST today for the heck of it.. I like my Kyosho onroader, but this thing looks kind of flimsy.. The turnbuckles aren't much thicker than toothpicks..

But who knows..

I think I'd get the Hyper ST Mini instead(just saw it would cost basically €10 less than the DST including shipping from England...

The idea of that truck looks, and sounds fun. But i gotta agree with ya. Those toe links.... OMG, look scary thin. Looking at how they are mounted though, you could easily swap to something stronger. Lunsford for sure on that one.

Look at the CVD's!!! They are thin! may be less rotating mass but those things aren't gonna hold up long.

Maybe in bashing, but this looks like its going to exceed the need for speed. 2lbs lighter than a Revo, its might beat it if it doesnt break down fast enough, and if the fuel doesnt run out first

Tom.

That's just it. It has to STAY TOGETHER to win anything. The Revo is a proven champion, many times over. Time will tell, but man, who will be the first to drain resources racing one of these Kyoshos?[sm=50_50.gif]

I think it will be a good contender for the Revo...if it is it will no doubt make a impact on bringing the MT class back.

What "killed" the MT class, in my opinion was/is the domination of the Revo. Nobody has a contender that can really hang with a Revo other than Losi. Any Joe Schmoe with enough money can go out right now and buy a Revo Platinum and mop up at the track provided they can drive without hitting anything. Traxxas made it that easy to do so, but at the same time, Traxxas is Traxxas' competition because Revos are racing Revos. Is this Kyosho the one that can lay the smack down and start a revolution?

Lmfao, doubt it. I'm pretty sure Kyosho can produce a more "race oriented" type MT.. other than that.. thing..

I've got a magical hole you could more productively throw that $370 at. It's called my pocket.

Seriously, for $370 you could have a Savage or for a few bucks more an Aftershock.

This truck is not the answer to the Revo, it's the answer to the question "Can we get something WORSE than a T-maxx?"
