the trx2.5 is a good motor, but the sirio .18 has more power. if you get the .18 be prepared to upgrade your drive train, or drive it easy at low speeds. that thing has got a ton of power if broken in properly

I want to get the Sirio .18 but have to wait because I spent to much already.

Did you have to upgrade anything else, or was the engine a clean install?

Outlaw, what do you mean about upgrading the drivetrain?
Can you be more specific? What parts and why?

I would assume he is peaking of drive shafts, and such, which is a must for any hard basher or racer.

studysession, the sirio .18 is a direct replacement for the 2.5, the only mod you have to do is drill out the pipe so it flows more air, witch they go over very well in the instrutcions

JCJR, i mean steel shaft(all 6), CVD joints and better brake disk to help stop your new found power and speed. that should keep you going for a while, and depending on how hard you are on your machine, upgraded diffs. and tranny. gears, i think i need some of those now.. and just remember all the other stuff like, you go faster, your going to fly higher and farther (better shocks needed), you need to have better control of direction too (high tourq steering servo)... hope i didn't scare you away with all this, its just something to think about when adding more power and speed to your machine

You hit the nail right on the head Outlaw the first thing to go should be the shafts, i twisted the stockers the second tank after break in with the Sirio, and the tranny gears a week later. Haven't upgraded the brakes just yet but maybe in the next week or so. As for the pipe I drilled the stocker but like the Sirio pipe much better.

Default He has entered into the viscious circle of hop-up's!

Your right about adding things just to keep you out of trouble! They do make a big difference! Gears,Breaks, shocks and a few others will only add to the fun!

If you'd like an engine with equal power as the 2.5 that's less finicky, the Fantom FR15 is a good choice. If you want more power than a 2.5, consider the Sirio .18 or Fantom FR18.

It will be in a few weeks, but you're right, I shouldn't suggest it. I should be telling everyone not to buy one so they don't end up on back order at every stinkin' retailer like the Sirios are.

Get a Sirio. I don't want a back order list to start for the FR18's before they even come out.
