XTM mammoth st prob
Its my dads truck and there problem with it.When he accelerates the truck there are LOUD crunching and cracking noises that sound like they are coming from the rear diff but when he opened up both front and rear and they weren't worn or stripped. he also checked the tranny and there was nothing wrong with it. befroe this happened when we went to the track he made a bad landing that bent the rear of the chassis. He bent the chassis staright and now there is this problem. he and I cant find out the problem and it is frustrating as hell.

No, he means the rear shaft going from the center tranny to the rear diff. It's impossible to bend the chassis and not bend the shaft. Chances are the shaft is striking the engine or chassis itself. Could be your noises. Also check the 2 speed box, mine got slack and was making the same noises.

if the shaft is bent it will be slightly shorter than it was, this will introduce endfloat into the assembly, allowing the shaft to move back and forth, creating noise.

yea he did open them up and showed me but there was nothing wrong with them. He bought the whole xt2 planetary diff so I think that it shouldn't have a problem any more.
