Savage starter batteries
Hey guys, I know some of you out there have one of the HPI or HB starter setups for the Savage and I've got a question aimed directly at you. What size battery are you guys using with this thing? I know it's 7.2v and min. 1500Mah, but I've also seen it suggested that you use a bigger batter (say 3000Mah). Do any of you know if a 2400 mah would be big enough. That's the biggest nicad I can find and I don't want to have to buy a new charger just for that battery.

1500mAh is plenty.
Loosen your glow plug a little before starting and re-tighten after it starts.
Also don't try to use it if the engine is flooded.
