Age!!
Well I'll be 65 in July. Ya I know it looks like so far I'm the oldest. I'm into RC planes big time. I'm retired. Go flying 2-4 times a week with other guys that are retired. Age, 56 to 80 - yes 80 years old and flys RC yet. He is a World war II Vet.
My car RC days started with Heath Kit. They had the FIRST RC car
ever, at least I'm pretty sure. I built Heaths Radios for many years till JR came out with the first computer radio. Then 13-15 years ago my son and I purchased 2 Ofna Pirates (not ANYTHING like the present one) from NitroHouse and had a ball with them, but nobody else got into it. 5 years we got into road cars. Ofna OB4. Just the 2 of us till the LHS open a road course on Saturdays in there parking lot. Well he married, 2 kids, not much $ left over in a month.
I just bought a Savage 21 3 weeks ago and having a great time. A few upgrades so far and in a month a Off road track is supposed to open near our airport in Grand Rapids, MI.
Yes being retired is great and I'm very thankful I can enjoy the RC hobbies and great friends.
Yours truly, Dave

1/8 offroad (carson cs-4b)
1/10 offroad el. (traxxas rustler)
My first car was a TL-01 XB Tamiya.

Since the $ is so low i'm gonna order from the US.
Probably a Savage...just have to find a place that ships as "gift"

I'm 25 & I've been into R/Cs for about 13 years. My 1st real R/C car (if you can call it that) was a FX10. Believe it or not I actually bought a SECOND one for parts thinking that mine was just defective & not the piece of junk it turned out to be. After that I moved on to an Outlaw Ultima, RC10T, Stampede, Digger (what a riot! They're a blast!), JRXT, RC10L, RC12L, 2 Optimas, Stadium Blitzer, & most recently my Savage.

I've always loved r/c stuff, but only ever had the crappy toy store stuff until now.
I'm 26 and about 18 months ago my wife bought me one of those r/c indoor airships that you fill with helium......what a blast!
Then I got this r/c flying saucer, its got 3 props on it which spin up, then the whole body spins like a gyroscope and takes off. Its a b*stard to fly though!
Then 2 months ago, I wlaked past a hobby shop on holiday and just went in for a quick look and ended up coming out with a Pirate Monster!!! I'd never even seen a nitro car before, talk about a steep learning curve, but hey, I'm loving it.
Just in case anyones curious about the flying saucer, here's a pic

I'll be 27 as of June 1st this year, and I'm an addict . I've been in it since I was eleven. I mainly raced on road in cincinatti, OH. for a few years, then I moved to southern Illinois and race off-road as well (for a lack of on-road here). I have two 4-Tec's one is a .15pro that I raced forever, the other is 2.5 (haven't done anything to it yet but race it). I have 2 t-Maxx's, one for bashing, and the other I'm building for show. I have a Savage .21 (currently w/o engine do to not caring how hot it was). I also have a Kyosho Land Maxx (The thing is freakin huge!!!). HPI RS4 type 3ss is in peices after a bad wreck, and I have a supernitro RS4 on the way (I just needed one). Peace, Love, Recycle.

Hey ManichMechanic i got one of those Vectrons for X-mas last year. I still haven't got it to fly right! And i always break the stupid white gears that spin the prop.
Anyways, im 14 (15 in a month). My first car was a Duratrax Maximum ST. (got it in October, i think) Sold that got a Yokomo GT-4. Sold that and now I just got a Savage 21 last week. Took out the stock motor and put a Hyper 8 port in it. WOW this truck kicks ass.

33 and counting...
Used to RC back in 1988 - 92..sold it all due to need of $$, college life requires constant saturation of beer, oh yeah and school supplies too..ran cars only..
then LHS got a TMAXX and I was re-interested..about 1year ago bought my TMAXX and was immediately hooked again, and just love MT and now dislike cars...would not and could not stop the nitro madness from setting in...cant resist any longer...Nitro resistance is futile...

39 years old, with my intro to RC being boats when I was in highschool... was on a RC hiatus while going to college, then was introduced to RC sailplanes during my senior year.
I've been on hiatus for a few years (had some very poor luck with crashing two contest airplanes in one weekend), but recently dove back into RC. Started with an RS4-3 Type SS, then a Savage 21, then an HPI Micro RS4.
Now I'm looking for an electric (more neighbor friendly) monster truck for rock crawling... that and an electric sailplane. And that's all... except maybe...
RC is a great, family-oriented hobby (not that I have a family)... super way to meet people too!

I started when i was 13 my first ccar kit was a tamiya grass hopper...Then i got a hornet,blackfoot,supershot,toyota celica 4wd... Then i stoped for a while
I started flying helicopters like 6 years ago I invested a lot in them over 20k....Then i call it quit and sold all of my helicopters here on RCU and on runryder....
Over the years i built several planes but never flew them I never even flew a plane ...But i sold them...I built them cause i enjoyed building them....This winter i built a top flite p51 mustang and sold it here on rcu there is complete thread from to finsih of when i did the plane with pictures......
This brings me now when i sold all my helicopters i had one buggy left that i had never driven it was new it was ofna ultra gt lx...So at that time around last year tamiya was coming with the terra crusher so what i did was i sold the buggy here on RCU and took the money and bought my terra crusher when they first came out....
Then i started to drive RC vehicles again......then bought another terra crusher and recently bought a new savage....
now I am 30 years old......
