And I bought my first RC nitro here on the RCU!
Only about a year ago too!
Now I have an X-Factor,Custom T-Maxx and a cool little RC10GT.
I sold my Kyoshos.
I figure if your gonna do it,do it all the way.
Electrics seem more like toys.

I'm 21.I always wanted a R/C car but could never afford one until a few years ago so I bought the Rs4 3 type SS when it came out and now I have a Savage21 and an old skool Rustler I fixed for my friend but he never came back for it.

im 27 and i got into the nitro side of r/c about 6 months before the tmaxx came out.
i guess like 4-5 years ago or somethig like that. i remember when they started with the ads in the magazines for the tmaxx everyone was like "wow ..thats huge...its has reverse...its taller then a coke can !!"
but it was out of my budget so i bought a stampede.
i got out of the hobby as a driver for like 2 years but ive been back into it for like 6 months.
lol 6 months and $2000 later and here i am. still trying to tune my carb by sound and performance ...lol...ill never get it. ill just stick to the temp gun.

I am 35
And I have been in R/C off and on since I was 16! I started out with the cheap Tyco cars but, they were still lots of fun! Then I got into R/C planes when I was in the Air Force but, after crashing my 5th one I decided it was time to stay on the ground where it has not been all that much safer!LOL This time I am in this hobby for good! There is no way that I will ever be without a car or truck again!

FYI, I raced onroad and offroad indoors and out,and I had 4 sponcers 2 of which were hobbie shops, 1 was a computer store and last but not least was the track owner where I called my home track.
I even built my own chassis for 12th scale racing out of fiberglass.
I seem to win trucks in car races and hobbie shoppes give me what I needed even before I knew I needed them.
Ive had a great deal of fun but it came with a greater deal of stress to finish in the top three every main race to keep the sponcers.
And Ive never had a nitro vehicle til I started flying.

24 here. I just recently got into the nitro aspect of this fun hobby. I bought a T Maxx 2.5 back in December. Holy cow is this thing a blast!! I still have a Tamiya Blackfoot that still works. Also have a Grasshopper II that is in many many pieces. Aslo an old Fox that my friend gave to me to try and get working for him. I got those 3 about 14 years ago. Had a ton of fun with them for about 3-5 years and then got out of it for a while until I got my Maxx. This is a great hobby and I plan on having a lot of fun with it ....
