Questions for those who have an old TRX .15 laying around
After dissambling and thoroughly cleaning my engine I noticed something that did not look quite right. One of the ports looks to have been messed with. I was hoping that one of you, who hadn't done anything to your old TRX .15 could show me some pics in order to clear up this confusion.
Thanks,
Thanks,

I just took apart my spare TRX .15
And it looks just like yours does! I too sold my Stampede that I ported out and there was a big difference in the power and top end!
P.S. did you get this engine new or used??

Questions for those who have an old TRX .15 laying around
Alright, technically the only thing wrong with the engine is that it was worn out and needs a new piston and sleeve. I got the engine used on an old style T-Maxx. I just wanted to know if something had been done to it. And comparing it to those pictures, someone has messed with it and attempted to port it out. Someone also attempted to knife edge the connecting rod. The thing is, it looks like they did it with the piston still on the rod. It looks like they did a horrible job with porting it out, but I haven't had any problems with the engine till recently. Hopefully when the money isn't so tight, I can go in and rebuild it. Now all i can do is look at my dissassembled motor and think about the good times that we had. Ah, those were some sweet memories, can hardly wait to make some more. Thanks for everyones help.
